Senior Management
Ann Carpenter founded RES to bring innovative energy and carbon
solutions to clients in the resource industries. She leads major RES
projects and brings teams together to develop renewable energy
initiatives, crafting partnership agreements and securing financing.
Prior to RES, Ann held a variety of positions in the mining sector,
most recently as President and COO of US Gold Corp. where she was
responsible for overseeing the successful merging of multiple
companies, along with forwarding exploration advancements leading to
resource expansions at projects in the US and Mexico. Ann has
diversified worldwide experience in corporate development, including
mergers and acquisitions, property and corporate valuation, and
strategic planning and implementation. Ann has helped to develop
sustainable development initiatives and projects, working with Major
and Junior mineral development companies, communities, NGOs, government
entities and other stakeholders. She maintains leadership roles in
various professional associations, as well as non-profit organizations
and foundations. She has been active in the development of policies and
regulations in the U.S. Congress regarding domestic mineral resource
development; permitting and land-use policies; and sustainable
development.
Ann has a Bachelors in Geology from Montana State
University-Bozeman, with additional advanced studies completed at
Mackay School of Mines. She is a member of the Advisory Board,
Department of Geological Sciences and Engineering; Mackay School Of
Earth Sciences And Engineering, University Of Nevada, Reno.
Charles Reith leads RES projects and proposals in energy and carbon
management, as well as strategic planning and initiatives. He has
assisted major industrial users in characterizing their resource usage
and identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency, increase
supply reliability, and enhance environmental performance. He has
developed energy and carbon management plans for clients in mining,
power, and petroleum. His broad experience in the resource industries
has included energy mapping, efficiency improvement, and distributed
generation, as well as land reclamation and water management. He has
supervised greenhouse gas inventories and developed climate-change
response plans, both for compliance and adaptation. He has also
provided design support and regulatory consultation for major
deployments of renewable energy, including wind, biomass, and
waste-to-energy.
Dr. Reith is an affiliate professor at George Mason University ,
where he teaches climate planning and energy management to masters and
doctoral students. He has his PhD and MS from University of New
Mexico and his BA from University of California Santa Barbara.
ZACK GORSTEIN, Senior Analyst, Energy and Carbon
Zack Gorstein manages greenhouse gas accounting and inventorying,
project finance, and research and analysis at RES. Prior to joining
RES, Zack worked at the finance and strategy office of Primafuel,
Inc., a low-carbon fuel solutions and infrastructure firm based in Long
Beach, California. While at Primafuel, Zack laid the groundwork for a
multi-million dollar biofuel terminal in Sacramento and developed a
joint venture for a biodiesel facility in China.
Zack graduated from Tulane University, where he studied Political Science, Finance, and Environmental Studies.

Michael's firm focuses on developing Renewable Energy and Natural Resource
opportunities throughout the world, specifically in the biofuel sector.
Mike was the primary founder of Nova Biosource Fuels, Inc. [NBF- AMEX],
which has been rated as one of the top publicly-traded biodiesel
companies in the world. McGowan has developed several business ventures
in biofuels and natural resources throughout the United States, Europe
and South America.
MICHELE ASHBY, President and CEO of MineLLC
Michele
Ashby started her career as a mining analyst and stock broker in 1983.
She graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a magna
cum laude degree in Finance. From 1988 to 2005 Michele was CEO and
founder of the Denver Gold Group, a trade association for the gold
mining industry. In 2005, Ms. Ashby left Denver Gold Group and started
her own company, MiNE LLC, which organizes investor meetings for the
natural resources, mining, and modern energy sectors. DAVID MUCHOW, Founder, President and CEO of SkyBuilt Power
David Muchow is an attorney, business executive and consultant with
over 35 years of experience in energy matters. His leadership has
helped make SkyBuilt Power, Inc. a leading renewable energy systems
integration company headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. SkyBuilt
Power is a leader in developing renewable energy Mobile Power Stations
for Homeland Security, intelligence, military, humanitarian, and
commercial use. |
